This weekend I was on a quest to find one of Colombo’s many cupcake joints. Yes, I said cupcake. Colombo is no different than all other Western cities that have experienced the cupcake craze and it’s certainly thriving here. I believe there is only one cupcake store, however, as most people sell cupcakes out of their homes, and I was determined to find it. But on our walk to and from Quintessence of SpunSugar it was fun to see parts of Colombo that you miss by driving around in the car.

We stopped for a tea and cupcake break around Town Hall. I can confirm that the cupcakes are quite tasty and that the shop is delightful and worth a stop. And if you do go to Quintessence of SpunSugar you’ll be supporting two young people in getting their business off the ground.
